Fun, athletic surf camps and lessons for all skill levels on LBI. Everyone is welcome — first-timers through experienced surfers. Goal is to make every experience on Long Beach Island more memorable.
Lifeguard in training (LIT)
Bayview Park, 68th St on the Bay, Brant Beach
Established in 1988, this program teaches ocean lifeguarding from professional LBT lifeguards. Participants receive a uniform and rescue can, learn swimming and paddleboard rescues, and earn American Red Cross CPR certification. Many LITs go on to become LBT ocean lifeguards.

Harvey Cedars, Long Beach Island
Running since 2001, this program trains over 100 students each summer in water safety, physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. LITs use the same equipment as professional lifeguards and compete in local LIT tournaments held in Harvey Cedars and neighboring towns.
Beach Haven, Long Beach Island
Junior lifeguard training for kids ages 10-15. Two levels running simultaneously — morning sessions at the beach, Monday June 29 through Friday August 6.
Level 1 — Ages 10-12
