Duplexes are becoming less common on Long Beach Island as many are being replaced by single-family homes, but they remain a desirable property type for several reasons. Oceanfront and oceanside duplexes tend to perform well thanks to their short walk to the beach and relative affordability. They typically take longer to sell due to their limitations and have appreciated at a slower rate than the overall LBI market.
