Part of Long Beach Township, North Beach Haven is bordered by Beach Haven to the south and Spray Beach to the north. The area consists mostly of single-family homes, with some duplexes as well. Elevation varies by street, lower-lying areas, particularly at the northern and southern ends of the section and on the boulevard can be more prone to flooding.
